I have suffered from adult acne as well. I have been using ProActive and it has been working for me. It takes about a week of regular use to start, but if you keep up with it, it keeps on working.

Try not to put anything on your face, just clean it daily with Soap and Stuff. Cause I used to have some acne and I cleaned and 2 Days later it was gone.

Go see an esthetician. They can help figure out a good skin care regimen to be on and potentially help figure out what 's causing it. Or a dermatologist. There could be 3 causes, Retention Hyperkeratosis - which is caused by an overactive keratinization (protein/ dead skin cell) buildup in your sebaceous gland (your pores) Hyper secretion of sebum - over oiliness and Increased production of free fatty acids caused by bacterial activity (primarily P.Acnes bacteria) which causes irritation to the follicular wall and breakage with infection. You may have an allergy to a food that you consume often, ex: my cousin is slightly allergic to dairy, and when she eats it she breaks out in cystic acne around her mouth and chin.

Always Research And Go To A Dermatologist 1. DRINK WATER DAILY 2.Calamine Lotion can be used to treat acne, its a topic over the counter treatment that combines ZINC OXIDE and IRON(III) it also may contain OIL OF LAVENDER, OIL OF ROSEMARY, used as a spot treatment it can dry them out pimples quickly or let it set overnight for a longer lasting effect, or use a cotton ball and dab it all over like a mask and let dry for 10mins then rinse. Or try taking a Zinc pill. it dries them from the inside out and keeps them from reoccuring as much. Hope this helps :-)

There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about. It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It 's been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks) Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site. This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at: Search up "Cee En 's Acne Solution " on ebay. First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160 It 's expensive, but the product DOES work. My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream. I don 't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight. check the seller 's feedbacks on the cream I hope this helps. = )

Mild to moderately severe acne may be treated with over-the-counter gels, lotions, and creams such as benzoyl peroxide which is applied directly to the skin. Oral antibiotics may also be prescribed to reduce inflammation while oral contraceptives have also shown to improve acne. In episodes where acne is extremely severe, another oral medication known as Isotretinoin (Accutane) is one of the most effective treatments with successful results. However, all these medications can cause negative side effects and it is important that you inform your health practitioner or dermatologist immediately. Natural and holistic remedies are a safer, gentler yet effective treatment option to reduce acne without the harmful effects of synthetic chemicals often found in conventional medications. Carefully selected herbs such as Melaleuca Alterniflora (Tea Tree Oil), Azadirachta indica and Arctium lappa support the skin and contain anti-fungal, antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Bulbine frutescence and Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) help to soothe and prevent skin infections, and also have excellent antioxidant properties – helping to fight free radicals and help discourage the signs of aging.
