You can 't ask a broad spectrum of people what YOUR dermatologist appointment is going to go like. They will treat you in a professional manner in accordance to your condition. More than likely they will look at your skin condition and determine A) the severity and B) what type of skin condition it is (there are many types of acne i.e. cystic acne. And C) What treatment options are available and proven effective for pre and currently existing patients. An appointment can take ten minutes or sometimes a half hour plus. It all depends on how busy it is and how simple or complicated your condition is. As for what they give you, it will vary usually for acne a topical cream, very rarely will they give you a pill. What they choose exactly though, as I said above depends on what your skin type is and what the conditions criteria for medication is. |
