Question: Horrible acne (pictures included)?
(Posted by: . on 2008-10-16 09:57:49)
I have had horrible acne for 2 years now, starting off in the 7th grade. I am now in 9th grade and it has gotten worst. I have pimples, blackheads, scars and everything else. I also have these tiny black and brown dots on my face and it makes my skin look old. I have a very oily and flaky face, i used proactiv and it made it worst. I don't know what to do, i have no self-confidence in myself, i can't look at someone, i just don't think i could live my life being happy all because of hormones. It just ruins everything. What could i do? Here is pictures of me http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk19/meg_RADICAL/100_5903.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk19/meg_RADICAL/100_5902.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk19/meg_RADICAL/100_5901.jpg |

Listen to me! I used a lot of stuff. proactive too and it ruined my face. But neutrogina has helped me a lot. It makes my skin a little flakey but they have a lotion to use afterwards that makes it not noticeable. I have used it for a week and im liking the results a lot. Im not completely clear but i feel like i will be soon. And also. Dont let this interfere with your social life. When i was in ninth grade not to long ago i felt the same way you did. By 11th grade I learned to look people in the eyes when i talked and to just act like i had nothing. Your really pretty so dont think anyone is judging you. |

Honestly i know you are young, but birth control is also made to help regulate hormones, which can be a main cause of acne, especially if you wash your face & & practice good hygiene & & you still have the acne. & & for some girls, such as myself, because it regulates your hormones it also helps with your acne. however, if you convince your mom to go on it, dont take advantage!! your in 9th grade! <333 |

I used proactiv at one time and I had cystic acne. I to had self confidence problems because of it. You can buy this product online or even sometimes in the mall (the carts in the center selling random things). This product offers your money back if it does not work for you. My acne came back as an adult and the wash wasn 't working for me so I went to a dermatologist. You can have one of your parents take you and if you have insurance its in-expensive. I was put on a mild med. that clear up my acne and now I am happy. I hope this helps b/ c I know how damaging it can be. |

Have you tried any of the other skin care systems out there? I switched from proactive to clean and clear and like it much better. If you 're still having issues maybe you should talk to your mom or dad about an appointment to the dermatologist? I know it really stinks but I 'm sure there 's something out there to help it. In the mean time, smile...you 're too hard on yourself...you 're actually very cute! Good luck. |

Go see a dermatologist, they are skin doctors and can probably put you on a medication to help clear your skin up. |

You should go see a good Dermatologist. Your parents should not make you suffer with acne. There is no reason that you have to. |
