What is the best skin care facial product for severe acne?
Im am a teenager with severe acne/ blackheads and oily skin type. For daily use, I wash my face with a light foam cleanser but it isnt doing much help for my acne. (I also use witch hazel toner) I have heard from many people that nutregena and proactive work realy well. But I have also heard that proactive has alot of chemicals in it that can OVER dry your skin. I usually wear makeup to school to hide my hideous face full of acnes. If any of you out there has had this experience and/ or know a few things about treating acne, PLEAAAASE give me suggestions and any skin care products you recomend. Is this how acne products work?
A few months ago I had really bad acne (my face was red). I then bought an acne product to help with this and while it has helped, the acne is still there. It 's just not nearly as bad as it used to be. I would say that it 's acceptable compared to how terrible I looked a few months ago. Are acne products supposed to work like this (where most of it is gone but some of its still there) or is the acne supposed to go away entirely?

How can you tell if an acne product works?
i have been using Neutrogena oil-free acne wash and the foaming scrub with it for about 2 and a half weeks now and at first it was like a MIRACLE !! it cleared up my acne really good, but it didn 't prevent breakouts and i got more acne but now its not really doing much, like it takes forever to start working. i 'm confused if its working or not. so it 'd be nice if someone could help me out. Can somone please refer me to something that is really good at fighting acne with oil skinned (i have rly oily skin so)people but not too expensive.products i 've used that don 't work for me -proactiv-did nothing for my acne-neutrogena wave-waste of money, really.

Why does anti-acne products cause pimples?
I 've been using Neutrogena oil-free acne and i 've noticed it has contributed to the formation of acne blemishes such as comedones. Could it be that the ingredients irritate the skin???. Please helphmm I have to disagree with some of your answers. Firstly im using Neutrogena containing salicyclic acid which loosens the substance that holds the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. It exfoliates, or unplugs the follicles, thus preventing new comedones-acne. It also has a mild peeling effect. Now i 've thought maybe the dead skin cells have found themselves plugging the follicles??. Other than this, i have noticed my pustules are filled with pus- White blood cells- meaning that maybe something has or done something so that my body is forced to respond protectively by sending more white blood??. I wouldnt say irritate because there isn 't any redness to indicate that. Can anyone add or have any other logical explaination?.

I 'm a freshman in high school and have a slight case of acne. It goes through ups and downs, sometimes its very bad and sometimes you can barely notice it. It seems I 'm the only one (along with maybe 5 other people) in my entire school that has acne. I don 't know what I 'm doing wrong! I eat a relatively healthy diet with organic food. I always wash my face after I work out. I 've tried a lot of products too but none of them really permanently get rid of the acne. I 've tried Clearasil, Neutrogena, and various other ones but nothing helps. Please direct me to something that has been PROVEN to PERMANENTLY get rid of acne.

Do products that are designed for acne really work?
i was thinking: " acne companies depend on you having acne, why would they give you a product that will help treat your acne? "if you actually think about it this makes sense... for example its been known that lots of acne medications and washes work great at first, but then they reach a point were they either stop working or make you break out again, this is a fact not my personel oppinion. another example is chapstick? why would they give you something to treat your chapped lips if they depend on your lips being chapped? a counter example would be tampons, companies in this business give you something to help women take care of the problem. why? because they know that women will keep buying it for a period of time and for sure once a month?

Best types of acne products?
I have had a pimple on my cheek for about two months now. Well actually I 'm not sure what it is. It looks like a pimple but it doesn 't have a white head and when I try to squeeze it nothing happens, just a little bit of water. I have used some stuff for acne but nothing has happened. are there any good acne products out there..?? and if there are what are they?? i have used proactive, Clearasil, nuetrogena, even the natural stuff like Burt 's bees.. but nothing seems to work ...please help me it seems like my face has gotten worse and i have some new years parties coming up i at least want a little improvement.. my skin is worse on the cheeks and right in between my brows.. its really red and hard to cover up and occasionally ill get the cyst but usually just the large clumps of breakouts that consist of big red pimples ...ugh...i need help please
What acne product should I use?
I 've used proactive for about 7 months and it really worked, it cleared all the acne and stuff. BUT I don 't know how or why but as I kept using proactive I noticed that my skin became extremely dry and flaky, and it really burns when applying it. Also my skin becomes itchy and red, and for some reason my arms get itchy as well. So I stopped using proactive, but my acne is coming back and I don 't know what acne product to get because I don 't want to have the same thing happen to me with proactive. I really don 't understand why everything was fine for 7 months and now my face is red, flaky, and itchy! I use proactive once a day (night). Please explain the reason of the side effects when using proactive and help me decide what different acne product is good. Thank you!
What products are good for a black teen with frequent acne breakouts?
I am a black teenager and I have frequent breakouts on my face. I think i have pimples and zits but i definitely have a lot of black heads. Well I 've used everythiiiing. From Clearasil to Neutragena to Ponds to Cetaphil to Proactive to Clean and CLear and etc. It won 't go away D; They grow smaller and I can make them less obvious with makeup that 's [[dermatolagist recommended]]. But like i noticed it works for maybe a day or two or maybe even like a month tops, but then I use it again and it doesn 't work. It 's like my skin is immune to all those products! It 's not that bad but still >. < I 'm wondering if there 's anything I can do. And what do I do about the marks they leave? Not from picking, but the fading away marks that haven 't well..faded?please help = [love, immune girl XD
