Acne Scar Treatment - Skin Care

Question: I wanted to expand on a question that i asked earlier regarding acne scar treatments?

I wanted to know if the treatments are effective for those who have brown skin. I was told that a procedure for acne scar removal can make the skin look worse. I wanted to know if it can be beneficial for someone of my skin type (brown)
