If you have ance is it good to put moisturizer on your face? i thought it was good to dry out your skin to get read of the ance. i guess cuz then your skin doesnt get so oily. my dermatoligist said not to put it on before bed and to just keep my skin with nothing on it for bed but then a lady that worked in the pharmacy said i should wear it cuz my skin will want to produce more oil to keep my skin from being dry so it will cause your acne to get worse. help me! and sorry for the spelling mistakes! |

The lady at the pharmacy is correct. Talk to your dermatologist about an oil free moisturizer. My acne got much better when i started using an oil free moisturizer. But I wore the moisturizer during the day, then wash before bed and put nothing on. And always make sure that your pillowcase is clean. |

YES, use a moisturizer. Trust me, I know a lot about acne. Drying the skin out helps short-term, but your skin is going to start pumping extra oils...just like the pharmacy lady said. Also, if you dry your skin our & then stop your regemin (topical medication, treatments, etc., your skin will start having the same problems again- so it doesn 't solve anything. I have discovered moisturizers with glycolic & mandelic acid as the main ingredient are AWESOME for acne prone skin. I just started using Glytone products and M2 moisturizer w/ mandelic and malic acid- my acne is disappearing. I 'm amazed because my skin is stubborn- I get the painful acne that scars & crap. Good luck, but definitely use a moisturizer daily! |

This is too easy to answer. I have the same problem especially if you have oily, acne skin. You do have to moisturize your skin but with one without oils. I use a Clinique gel based moisturizer which is great for my skin. Now to dry out acne for a better complexion I use Neutrogena On-The-Stop acne treatment. This product has the right percentage amount of benzoyl peroxide to improve your skin without irritating it. Use this product twice a day and your skin should get better within a week or so. Suffering from acne since I was eleven years old, this method is the only way that helps me. Only if I knew this in the beginning so I didn 't have to suffer all these years. |

Read your other answers about oil free moisturizers! Biore (oil free) Nourishing Moisturizer is available in almost any store! very gentle, very soothing, and just enough moisture for your skin. |

If you are going to wash your face, you will strip the natural oils from it, and your body will react by producing even MORE oils. After you wash, tone with alchohol free toner to close the pores, then moisturize with oil free moisturizer to tell your skin there is no need to produce a bunch of oil now. Easy enough! |
