Adult acne treatments?
Hypothetically if money was not an issue what sort of acne treatments are out there? I dont mean the topical creams like proactive or other informercial products, im referring to any type of procedures you can have done or anything along those lines that are just a one and done thing. something that would cure you for good. I ask because there has to be some sort of treatment like a laser removal or something in that ball park, with the technology we have today there has to be something.I am 23 years old, male, and of great health. I play college basketball so i get plenty and i mean plenty of excersice. I am very health conscience and eat very well. I dont smoke, I dont drink coffee (which I heard was not conducive for good skin) the only vice I have is to occassionally drink alcohol as any college student would, but not in excess and definitely not enough to effect my acne. I currently use proactive and actually it works great for me, i really do not have any acne when I use it but the minute i get off of it, literally prob 2 or 3 days without i will flare up in break outs. and it is just the most frustrating annoying thing in the world. to constantly have to worry about your face. The rest of my body is completely fine, i honestly could not ask for better skin over the rest of my body, even my neck is fine. Its just my face and I dont understand it. I cant find a reason to point to, like I said im in great health, eat well, practice good higene but just cant seem to shake the acne. and i am at an age now where im pretty sure im done developing and its not due to hormones. so anyway could anyone out there please give me some suggestions? i am honestly looking for like I said from the start some sort of lazer removal or something that would close my poors up. im not really interested in another topical cream, im at the point where i just want to be normal and not have to worry about my skin like 99% of every other adult in the world that can care less about how they shave or that they need to go immediately wash their face after sweating. im tired of having to constantly stay on top of my routine of making sure i do my proactive everytime i get out of the shower, and having to put all of those products on my skin, and having them bleach my clothes and my pillows, and leaving my face red and irritated more times than not. I would just LOVE to be normal. Thanks

Suggestions for acne treatment...?
I have tried numerous different products, including Proactiv, and none of them seem to be doing the trick on my acne. I don 't have horrible acne, but it is persistent on my shoulders, arms, and face. Do you have any suggestions? Or should I see a dermatologist?

Help with acne treatment?
I have nodular type acne which actually hasn 't been so bad lately. Now the biggest problem is that anything I use turns my face red and makes it dry. I can 't use moisturizer or even water on my face without it burning or turning red. I thought about acutane, but I have no insurance and the pharmacist just told me that it costs over 1,000 dollars for a 30 day supply and the generic brand is 400 dollars. She also told me that there are a lot of lawsuits on the stuff because of birth defects, liver problems and psychotic episodes, so even if I had the insurance, it probably wouldn 't be a good idea to use it. Can anyone please tell me what I can use that will help with the acne and clear up the redness? I have already used:neutrogena clean and clearbenzoil peroxideapple cider vinegarbaking sodasea breezepanoxylcetaphiland just plain old spot treatment.I said i 've tried neutrogena. I told you why accutane was out of the question. Won 't lemon or lime just increase the redness? Other than the nodular stuff, which has been a lot better, my face is just RED and blotchy.I 've gone to the dermatologist and they told me I would probably need accutane. I couldn 't use it at the time because I was breastfeeding. Now I just can 't afford it and there are too many risks. Meghan- Your link doesn 't work.

Inexpensive acne treatments not containing Benzoyl Peroxide?
I 'm looking for an inexpensive (and effective!) alternative to using acne products containing Benzoyl Peroxide. Since I was a teenager, I 've always had some mild acne (a few pimples at a time). The acne didn 't make me feel too bad about myself, because I knew most of my peers had acne just as bad if not worse than mine. My mother started buying me Proactiv, and I used it regularly throughout most of my time in high school. It seemed to work as long as I used it regularly, but god forbid I 'd miss a wash or my skin would be terrible! Over the past year, I 've developed the worst acne of my life. (I 'm in college now.) I 'm no longer using Proactiv, because I 've discovered the harmful effects Benzoyl Peroxide has on the skin, but because I 'd used it for so long, I 'm concerned the damage has been done. I 'm currently using a nuetrogena product containing chamomile and aloe meant to reduce redness, which it seems to do somewhat effectively, but I don 't think it 's actually curing my acne, just making it less red. It also contains salicylic acid, which I 'm weary of, after my benzoyl peroxide revelation. = / I 've heard great things about resveratrol both as a means to repair skin, and fight acne. Unfortunately most products I 've found containing resveratrol have been far from my budget. Are there any products that contain resveratrol that don 't cost more than ~$30 monthly? Are there any other (less chemical-y) products you might recommend?

Anyone know a good body acne treatment?
So embarrassing but I have body acne, not bad, but I get pimples on my shoulders, chest, back, upper thighs and butt. Does anyone know a good treatment? I know proactiv is good, but I don 't know if it works for the body. And I don 't want to spend that kind of money for something I haven 't heard of and don 't know if it works or not.

Good acne treatment suggestion?
I suffer from moderate acne. There are a few cystic pimples on my face too that haven 't been around for years now. My problem seems to be blackheads and whiteheads mainly. Sometimes, I get breakouts of reddish pimples. Any effective acne regiment to recommend? I 've looked at Exposed and Clearpores so far. They both sound good, but I 've come across some unfavorable reviews. I guess nothing is a miracle cure, but I 'm willing to take some guidance and recommendations. Thanks.

What acne treatment do you use? Does it work?
I have acne all over my face and I want to find a good treatment before I start high school. I 'm not allergic to anything, so whatever you have, please tell me because I am sick of my acne.I don 't want pills, I want washes and soap like ProActive or something.

Cystic acne treatment?!!?
I 've had severe pimples and white heads the last year and a half. They all vanished, but now I get cystic acne! I 've been to the dermatologist many times for shots, medication, and consultation. He strongly recommended accutane, but my family doesn 't have insurance. I 've had laser treatment done along with high dosage shots in korea, this helped my cysts a lot. But the korean derm. also said it was odd that my skin isn 't perfectly clear (apparently it was suppose to be after all the treatment). The medication he gave me made me sweat so much, like sweat even when I;m not hot. This made school life impossible, so I quit that after 2 &half month of using. Through the last three months of laser/ shots/ medicine, my cysts went down a lot.Now they 're coming back up and are getting redder! I read on the internet that cysts are suppose to hurt on touch, but mine has no feeling. They just feel like a bump on my skin that occasionally gets itchy. I don 't scratch or pick at it, but they just won 't go away. They 're all in my side jaw areas, a few black spots have already formed. When I got a cyst next to my eye, it cleared up in a few weeks. But the ones next to my jaws seem like they 're been there for over a year. Is there any meds that help clear up cystic acne?! Home remedies that work?!I 've tried Benzol cycline (I think thats what it 's called)I still wash my face with Benzol Peroxide (10%) couple times a dayI don 't eat greasy foods, I eat mainly vegetables and rice.I take 1 a day teen advantage, zinc, and Vitamin A every day.I 've tried putting tomato pulp on my face, apple cider vinegar too.Help!

How can I find the right acne treatment?
I have tried so many different products and quite frankly, I 'm frustrated. I have mild acne. There are always a few barely noticeable bumps. So I 've tried some of different products consistently and they only made it worse. I 've used Clean and Clear, Proactive, Biore, Ambi, store brands. What generally happens is that they will clear my skin up for a couple of weeks, then the next thing you know acne has moved from tiny bumps on my face to a cluster of large pimples on one side of my face. Does anyone know I can correct this or do I have to go see a dermatologist.

What is the best acne treatment for moderate/severe acne with oily skin?
I was on proactive years ago and i had seen results fairly quickly. my acne was mild tho. i had been off it for a while then decided to go back just weeks ago. Ive been on it again for 3 weeks and I have more severe acne. MY skin is very oily. And Im not so sure that proactive is a good treatment for me now. So I wonder what are other acne treatments for moderate/ severe acne? Also that the price is within budget of under $40. As a returned user of proactive I was only charged $10 and some change, which I thought was great. Thanks for any help.

Did Exposed acne treatment work for you?

I'm going to start with "Accutane" acne treatment?
My question is, I smoked yesterday. Can I take it now? Or should I wait? I 'm not supposed to smoke DURING taking the treatment, but I have no idea if it 's risky to start taking it if I smoked yesterday.Note: STOP PROMOTING OTHER SITES, I DON 'T CARE.Note 2: I went to a dermatologist, I have "permission " to take this treatment.I don 't really want to take it, nor I have severe acne, but my parents STRONGLY insist.

What is the best acne treatment for me?
i have really oily skin on my forehead and nose and usually breakout on my forehead. My acne isnt really bad so i dont need a dermatologist but i really want to find a good face wash or cream that clears away breakouts and/ or keeps them from coming back. thx!

Mixing acne treatment brands?
So from what Google has had me concluded, you can basically mix acne treatments as long as there aren 't a lot of products that have the same main ingredients [I 'm talking about salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide] but I want to know for sure, if I DID use more than one product at the same time with the same key ingredient, would that bring me any harm? Here 's what I 'm going to use tonight:-Neutrogena 360 cleanser [salicylic acid]-Neutrogena stress control toner [salicylic acid]-Clean and Clear acne mark treatment [salicylic acid]-Clinique step 3 moisturizer for combination oily skin [none of that junk]Would all of this be alright? :ONOTE: Please do not recommend something else, I 'd really just like to know if THIS particular regimen would be alright to use.

My face is really dry after starting a new acne treatment...?
My doctor just switched me to using something called erythromycin and benzoyl I believe and now my skin is really dry and flaky. She told me it would be like this, but that I shouldn 't use any moisturizer. My acne has pretty much cleared up but I really can 't stand the dry skin (I 'd almost rather have a little acne) Is there anything I can do to get rid of the dry skin and still keep using the treatment? Is it okay to use a little moisturizer or can I use sunblock or something to get rid of the flaky skin? Thanks!

Epiduo acne treatment is giving me scary side effects, what should i do?
I 've been on epiduo for about two weeks now (my doc also prescribed minocycline and i 've been experiencing some pretty bad side effects. First of all I noticed I started to have breathing trouble. I couldn 't inhale deep breathes and my throat felt swollen. Second, the lymph nodes at the base of my head are completely swollen. I 'm currently experiencing an itchy weird rash randomly across my body and my lower lip is swollen. A few days ago I had flu-like symptoms but that only lasted about 24 hours. I 've read all the possible side effects and they all seem to fit my situation, but I don 't know if it 's severe enough to go to my doctor. I don 't really have time to go to the doctor anyway, but i 'm starting to get concerned. But the thing is, epiduo is working really well against my acne so i don 't want to stop using it. :( help?

Prescription acne treatment?
Hey guys, thanks for your help.I have pretty good skin, although my forehead has a bunch of spots, not acne, just scars, darker little dots. Sometimes i break out, and usually have at least 10 small zits on my face at one time.My doctor randomly prescribed Benzoyl Peroxide Gel and Tretinoin Gel to be applied every day, one each day. It says that you will break out initially, can 't go out in the sun and that it will lighten your skin. I start school in two weeks, pictures are next week, and homecoming is october 2nd. My mom dropped the prescriptions off last night, so i have $120 worth of acne stuff i dont even know if i want. its not returnable. How can i go to school everyday with the best possible skin? I want to be able to wake up and not have to wear makeup all over my face everyday. I don 't want to go through a long period of time when i look terrible. as of now, i wash my face twice daily, and kinda like my skin. I want it to be better for school though, and would probably wear makeup. I wore tons of makeup every day last year, and would prefer not to have to again.I 'm tan now and would go tanning outside before homecoming, and really don 't want gross, flaky, peeling red skin that cannot tan based on directions. What should i do? I don 't even know if i want to use the acne medications, but i feel like i must or my mom would get mad, and it would be a terrible waste of money. They "expire " in three months, but i think i could use them after that. Please help me if you 've used them or have advice!Thank you so much.so if i use them only sparingly in the beginning, does that lessen my chance of a breakout?

Best OTC acne treatment?
I have so much acne on my face that I can 't even count all the pimples, when you include the red scarring. I 've had it since I was 12 and am now going into university and it hasn 't let up at all. I 'm so sick of it and am really hoping to find something that is OTC to fix it, instead of having to go to a dermatologist. Any miracle products out there or should I just cave and try to get a dermatologist referral and go on acutane or something?I 've tried the following:-oxypads-clindets (sp?)(not OTC)-a benzol peroxide wash(not OTC)-neutrogena products-various clean and clear products-st Ives apricot scrub for acne-queen helenas face scub(forget the exact name but I think thats it..)-proactive, both the actual acne stuff and the refining mask. I used them for like 3 months and it dried my face out so badly and didn 't get rid of my acne at all. My skin took like 6 months to recover from that stuff!-beyond belief clay mask that was supposed to get rid of acne. It gave me more acne > <I think that those are all the ones I 've tried. If I remember something else I 'll add it. Please only suggest things that are not on my tried and failed list!

Any good acne treatment recommendations?
I 've pretty much tried Skin ID , Proactive , Clearasil none of them work. I 'm not looking for any membership acne just any normal one you can buy at a drug store. I get alot in my forehead and my cheeks. Any good ones that you guys can recommend me?

Current, Doctor prescribed acne treatment only makes it worse!?
So I have mild acne, maybe bumps around usual problem areas, occasional redness. I sought to get rid of this. I wash my face with warm water and neutrogena face wash 2.bp.blogspot.com/ _sX09kNNKSDE/ SxF31-vnMbI/ AAAAAAAAAD0/ rNmNahRoTZY/ s320/ Neutrogena+ soap+ for+ acne+ prone+ skin.jpg I follow that up with pacnex, medimetriks.com/ content/ view/ 31/ 36/ a 7% benzoyl peroxide wash, rinse with cold water and pat dry. within 2-3 days of starting this my acne has worsened. There is redness around the mouth and chin, little acne bumps popping up in the area and I just looks like I have herpes, I Don 't think its an allergic reaction because I used some on my arms, legs and stomach to test it, and this didn 't happen..

What is the best non-prescription acne treatment?
Keep the suggestions coming...:)

Can you recommend an acne treatment system that worked for you?
Apparently Proactiv is the best, but it doesn 't work for everyone. What has worked the best for you? I have oily skin and I have to wash my face a couple of extra times during the day. I 'm looking for something to use as well as a good diet and exercise. Any suggestions?

Epidiuo ( acne treatment )?
My doctor recently put me on Epidiuo. He said it will burn a little for the first 2 weeks until I get used to it. I have been using it for a week and a half an it doesn 't burn at all. Is that good or bad ?

Should I carry on with tetralysal 300? (acne treatment)?
Well I started on tetralysal for about a month and saw no real difference personally, but my mother and friends said they noticed I had less spots than before... but then once I ran out I was not able to see my doctor for over a week so that whole month was basically a wastenow though I have currently been on tetralysal for a month taking one tablet every day in the mornings usually on an empty stomach, i 'm also on isotrexin gel but have only been on that for a few days. I don 't feel like these tablets are really helping me, my doctor tells me that they would also help with my blackheads as well as spots which was reassuring to me as Iooked in the rear view mirror of my mums car and realised how terrible my blackheads were in the normal sunlight!my doctor has just prescribed me another 2 months worth of these tablets, but she appears to be reluctant to prescribe me accutane, and before you all may scream at your computers I do know why, even I am very hesitant with the side effects and all.but my real question is should I tell my doctor that I don 't feel like these tablets are doing any good or just carry on with the next 2 months worth of tablets?

Best thing for quick acne treatment?
