Hello, I heard somewhere green tea is wonderful for your face. Would it be benificial if i boiled arizona green tea in a pot and help my face over the steam? or would that give me more acne?

Ok, so i 'm 18 years old and I have moderate acne (reddish cheeks and chin area). I 've had acne for almost 5 years now. It used to be under control because I took birth control pills (my derma prescribed it) which helped alot but I stopped now because I was afraid of the long term side effects. I have also used Differen but it didn 't work and I was allergic to BenzaClin. I don 't want to visit my derma anymore because she pushes me to take Accutane but I heard that it has some harmful effects. So anyway, I just want to use over the counter products. I 'm using Dermalogica Clean Start Kit and it is really helpful. I still have acne but whenever I put the breakout gel it seems like my pimples get smaller. I want to try some natural products like witch hazel but afraid because I have very sensitive skin. So do you have any suggestions about what acne products I should use? And what about makeup? I really have really oily face so it 's very hard for me to find the right product. I was using Bare Minerals but my face used to get oily by noon.So basically do you know of any product that is right for an oily, acne-prone skin.

i have had serious acne for about 3 years now and nobody in my family has had that bad acne. Switching acne treatments?
I am using purpose face wash and it 's ok it doest work perfectly but it makes my face REALLY red and I have to use a lot of make up to cover it and it makes my face look shinny. I use to use clearasil plads and they worked way better and didn 't make my face red but that was a year ago and I am afraid that if I switch back I won 't get the same results. Really good acne treatments?
I have mildly bad acne (sadly..), it has recently started to clear up; and I want to keep it that way. So, I wanted to know if there were good (preferably home "remedies ") for acne; if not, I could always try to use a different acne product (please recommend one). As of right now, I use AcneFree, and It works alright. I 've tried Proactive, and it did NOT work for my skin. (I think my skin was to oily, it only made my acne worse). People say to use toothpaste, but I heard on the radio once that dermatologists say NOT to use toothpaste, because it will burn your skin. (To anyone with the same problem, if you wet your face with warm water then lather soap [or whatever you use] onto your face, you should rinse with cold water to then minimize your pores. [It works :) ] ) Thanks!Please note I said Proactive Does Not work for my skin..

i have acne on my chin and forehead. I wouldnt say its severe but i still want a acne treatment for it. I have oily sensitive skin and i dont want anything that will dry out my skin or make it worse. I heard that proactive is good but it dries out your skin and it gets worse before it gets better. So which acne treatment should i use: Proactive, Acne Free, Skin ID etc??

Should I start accutane acne treatment!?
I am 15, and this is my first year of high school. So far it has sucked acne has taken all of my confidence from me. I do not have little zits, I have cystic ones. They hurt and are huge, I now care about what others think, not always did I. What are good OTC acne treatments for combination skin?
I have combination skin-oily T-zone area with the rest is normal/ dry with mild acne. Every time i use any cleasner my skin gets dry and flaky but about an hour after that my T-zone is oily again and the acne doesnt ever really clear up. What kind of otc product should I use because my acne is mild?
Question about adult acne/treatment etc?
About 8 months ago, we had a death in the family...very stressful and I had a horrible breakout...pimples everywhere on my face, and I 'm talking everywhere. I attributed it to stress and eventually they went down but "evolved " into this very strange patch of what I can only assume is cystic acne...sort of like a rash which will not respond to any sort of topical treatment I have tried. I have another patch forming, and also some on my neck along with random "normal " pimples elsewhere. When I wake up in the morning, the patches are noticeable in the morning, but they are "flat " and don 't really hurt. By mid day, they hurt when touched and are more inflamed and bumpy. I can 't get into the dermatologist for another 2 months...any ideas on what could have caused this? I 'm pushing 30 and have no history of acne problems ever. Is this hormonal or triggered by an unknown allergy to something....and what will likely be the first treatment for it? I 'm not a vain person but I 'm pained to admit I am becoming very self conscious about it. So far it hasn 't developed into open sores/ pustules etc...

Help please!! My new acne treatment isn't working!?
K, so I 've been using a new acne treatment that i heard of for about two weeks and I have not seen any improvement. This treatment is a way to get rid of your acne without the use of any prescription ointments or anything and it just uses household products. I heard that if you do this for a week you will start to see improvement.This is my daily routine:-Eat a pickle relish and jelly sandwich daily.-Apply a small amount of Windex on the face.-After applying the Windex, gently spread cream cheese over the red/ inflamed areas of the face.-While cream cheese is still on face, immerse head in melted butter for 45 1/ 2 seconds.-Remove the melted butter, cream cheese, and Windex from your face.-Once all is off of face, get a cat, dog, or any pet you have to lick your face to insure that it is nice and clean. If you do not have any pets then get someone else in your house to lick your face. If you live alone, then have a neighbor do it.-If there are any places of acne on your body other than your face, then mash up 2 to 4 bananas in a bowl and spread it over these areas. Then get a pet or a person to lick it off.So i 've been trying this routine for two weeks, and it has not gotten better!! This is SO frustrating! Should I just keep doing the treatment until my acne gets better or what?! Please give me your thoughts!

I 'm 13 and a half and I have been using Noxzema but it keeps irritating my skin.I have noticed some other products have the same active ingredient in it and that may be it. I 've always been a little skeptical, I tried Proactiv and it DID NOT work. D:Then I ordered Neutrogena Skin ID and it worked very quick, it 's the best thing I 've ever used.Just saying, if you 're unsure on what to get, try Skin ID, it works really well.
