Does birth control really work to get rid of acne?
I am 14 years old and I usually just get blackheads or whiteheads but all of a sudden I got a huge nodule on my nose. I heard that birth control helps get rid of acne and I am wondering if that is true and what types of acne it helps clear up. Can I be put on it when I 'm only 14? Toner review for acne, is this ok to use?
ok so a few hours ago i made a natural toner:i boiled water and poured it over some rose petals(like of one rose) and like 10 sage leaves. 1 sprig of lavender flowers and 1 sprig of the leaves. and i put it all in a little mason jar. (maybe like the height of the small glass candles.) and i covered it with plastic and let it sit for like 5hrs or so.(give or take ish) (and i strained it and put it in a little bottle and im freezing it now so i can keep it in my bathroom for a few days and then refreeze when needed.) ANYWAY! my question is... is this a good toner for my face(i have mild acne and my skin gets oily during the day) is this toner going to help improve my skin(along with my baking soda(tht i love)) and keep my skin a little less oily??Sorry for the complicated story. so is this a good toner??
Is it normal to have thigh acne?
I 'm 15 years old and none of my family have acne on their thighs. I don 't have it anywhere else and it looks horrible when I wear a bikini or shorts! Are there any products or home remedies for this? Please don 't type rude comments. Thanks.I just wanted to add that I do not drink Soda for health reasons. I 'm a water person. & also, its not very severe. Just pimples and ingrown hairs < at least that 's what I 'd call them. Like they 're black and if I scratch them out you can see two or just a hair sticking out of it. Sorry, I know that sounds disgusting. xD

Foundation and acne trouble?
i have a couple questions on this. i need a foundation that wont clog my pores or make my acne worse, because well, thats bad. i have oily skin, i 'm not exactly sure of my acne severity, but its more than a couple spots. any recommendation on how to clear up acne quickly, or what foundation to use would be great :)
What should I try for my acne?
18 year old male. I have pretty continuous moderate acne. A few cysts. Over the years I have had it I have tried Benzyol peroxide in many forms. Gel, AcneFree, Proactiv... 2.5%, 5% 10%. It kind of helped but not really. Then I tried pills, Deoxycycline, it didnt help too much. Now I am on Eryromycin in the morning and Retin -A at night. I wash my face 2 times a day with Neutrogena Acne Wash. I put Cetaphil Moisturizer on Daily. It isn 't clearing up. Any tips? by the way, once I wash my face and put nothing else on, it will dry out and get flaky. Why is that? I have to put moisturizer on all the time? Thanks for reading all this. Does prednisone dosage relate to acne?
If I take a lower dose of prednisone, am I less likely to get acne? For example 20mg/ day instead of 40 mg/ day?
What are good tips on killing acne at home?
When I turned about 12, Acne hit me like a brick. There wasnt any part of of skin on my face that wasnt covered by acne, along with my back being very bad was well. I had to beg my mom to take me a dermatologist because it got so bad, not only was it painful for my to watch, but everyone i crossed by kept telling me how painful my skin looked. My dermatologist put me on a prescription, which had a dramatically great effect on my skin, the only problem was it didnt cure it, as soon as I got off the medication it would come back. The prescription also makes me more sensitive to sunlight and is bad for my liver. It is now 7 years later and I decided to see if my skin has what it takes to be on it 's own now without the aid of medication. It 's been a month now, and breakouts have been very minimal compared to what it used to be, I 've been tripling the water I drink, and taking calcium, vitamin C and D, zinc, and fish oil. Is there anything else you might recommend?
How should I clear my acne before the first day of school?
I have acne, cystic and non-cystic, almost everywhere on my face. I used to use every commercial acne product possible (Clean & Clear with salicylic acid, Stridex with benzoyl peroxide, etc.) but I 've recently switched to more natural products (Nelsons Pure & Clear, and I use tea tree oil). Also, I went to the natural food store and bought sulfur tablets, AcneAdvance, and probiotics. My doctor also put me on the birth control pill, which I 'll be starting in two days. The first day of school is in six days and I really want to have my skin clearer by then. Any tips!?

Why do I get severe acne after cortisone shots?
I 'm 24 and had severe acne as a teenager. Now that I 'm older I get a few pimples but I had some cortisone shots for inflammation from an allergic reaction and the pimples went away at first but about two months later they came back all crazy. How to get rid of acne really fast!?
I used to have really clear skin, like I had NO acne at all for a long time except till recently because I guess my face wash wasnt doing the job. I 'm using a face wash now that is supposed to be good but it isn 't doing anything and I 've been using it for two and a half weeks and my acne has not improved at all. So I 've given up on regular face wash (almost. unless there is something out there that actually is proven to work. Not like Pro-active) and decided that home remedies might work. So does anyone have any home remedies that actually do work that they have used for themselves and had good results? And I 'd like to get rid of it in about two to three days...if that 's possible. Which of these acne medications work best and how are they used?
I have 2 acne medications, Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide Topical Gel and Clindamycin Phosphate Gel USP 1%. I used to use Differen 0.3% and Clindamycin Phosphate Gel after that immediately and it was working fine. I had to stop using Differin because the insurance stopped covering it. Is it ok to use the Erythromycin Benzoyl and then the Clindamycin right after, or what? I want to use both of thoes medications but don 't know how or when to use it.Also, I have the product Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. Is it ok if I use that product maybe in the morning and use the other 2 medications at night? Or if not, when should I use all 3 of these medications, most likely the Biore scrub is used by itself.Thankss ;)
