Okay so, I Have mainly whiteheads and blackheads, but I've been using Differin for about 4 weeks, and over this past week, my acne started getting WAY worse. instead of just whiteheads and blackheads, im getting cysts and other big acne all over my chin. AND my left cheek, (which never had acne before) is now covered in little and big bumps. But basically, now my WHOLE face is covered with tiny bumps like everywhere. I know that Differin its suppose to get worse before better, so does this mean that its working??? PLEASE ANSWER! &+ how long will it take for it to start getting better???? ALSO, do youu have any tips on treating acne? please helpp. im desperate. i cant take my acne much longer. anddd i have scoliosis, therefore i cant just eat fruits and vegetables to help my acne and i absolutely cant cut out dairy products because i need to them for my scoliosis. so what should i do? I 'm Going on Accutane for mine. Its a very very very powerful pill. Ask your demotologist about it and google it. There are tons of side affects. One pill a day for 4 months, all your acne will be gone, everywhere on your body, and will never come back. |

Your diet has nothing to do with your acne. The only thing in food that affects your acne is the oil that may or may not get on your face when you eat it. I have battled with acne since I was 14 (24 now) and have tried many different things. Most of the time, I break out more when I am unclean and/ or have high levels of stress. Stick with the Differin and don 't stray away from your routine. I started using the Skin ID stuff from Neutrogena and it took about 6 weeks before my skin started to look better. My skin is pretty good now, but I also still use the product. I will notice that when I miss a night, or a few mornings that I will get a little acne here and there. So sticking to the regimen is important. Also, I 'm pretty sure that differin is just the gel... did you dermatologist tell you if you need to clean your face before applying it? I wash my face at least twice a day (of course, the Skin ID has a facewash as part of the regimen). And I 'll wash it anytime I thing it feels oily, but not more than 4 times a day (overwashing is bad too). So stay clean, don 't touch your face unless your washing it, don 't smack yourself in the face with greasy chicken, and stick with the Differin. If your face doesn 't clear up in another 4-6 weeks then it 's time to try something new. |
