I dont have bad acne but its still noticable and it bothers me and thats what i asked for on my birthday was to go see a dermotoligist because i had wanted to for SOOO LONG!! but my grandma allways said no well she finally said i could for my bday present (i live with my grandma) and the doctor looked at me and was just like "oh its really not that bad" and i mean i know its not that bad and its not like i have horrible disfiguring acne but i still want clear skin and she didnt even want to prescribe me any medicine she just told me just to use benzoyl peroxide and recomended some over the counter stuff and i was really MAD!! because why would i go to see a motherfukcin dermatologist if i hadent tried stuff from the store already then she finally gave me some stuff called clyndamyiacin and she said that "i shouldnt worry about this" and "its not that serios" and that "i really didnt even need to come in for this" i felt so stupid and i was about to start crying right in her office because this was suppose to be my bday present and she acted like i was wasteing her time i wated to cry untill i got outside tho and i looked up clyndamyaicin online and its main treatment is not even for acne btw this was the only thing i got for my birthday

If you can afford it, then why not? That 's what a dermatologist is for! Now calm down. It 's not THAT big a deal, and clydamyacin is a perfectly legitimate medication for acne. Dermatologists prescribe it, too. It is an antibiotic, and guess what causes acne? Bacteria. It 's pretty good stuff.

I hate my face. I have pretty bad acne. A lot of times I just want to curl up and hide. I think in the end it 's all about having confidence, if it bothers you some dermotologists opinion doesnt matter. THey aren 't getting paid to comment like that, it 's their job to help you.

Of Course Its Not Dumb . If That Doctor Wont Take You Seriously, Go See Another. Even Some People In Big Department Stores Will Help Recommend Stuff Based On The Severity Of Your Acne...

I completely understand. i would be extremely pissed off too. and im sorry to hear about your bday:[ my doctor did the same thing to me and have trouble breathing sometimes and the doctor may think its due to anxiety, and he doesn 't do anything about it. like does he not care that i cant breathe? i think adults totally dismiss the fact that stuff like acne, even a little, can be hard for people and it unwanted. and no its not stupid at all. your right; she should have acted more responsible since you paid for her.

It is not dumb to see a derma for that reason. That is why they are here! Have you thought about trying some of the acne kits sold at grocery stores? Acne free, Neutrogena, Clearasil? I know where you are coming from, I can relate! I have spent hundreds at derma. offices to see improvements but never did. I finally found a good product at Bath and Body Works though. But try some of the items at Walmart. See online, which one of them have the best reviews (Target has online reviews, not sure if WalMart does) and give it a shot. They are relatively cheap, so maybe you can reimburse grandma. Hope it gets better for you!

It 's not dumb at all that you would want clear skin, everyone does, and by the way you described the appointment the doctor wasn 't even listening to you. They should have actual conversation with you about this which it doesn 't sound like she did, whether they think it 's worth their time or not, because it was obviously worth yours, and they need to respect this. I had some acne before I started trying different acne treatments and got a mint julep mask, mine is organic because I have really sensitive skin, and I went through so many different face washes before I found one that worked really good for me. The wash that worked for me was Clearasil, I also tried Clean & Clear. I don 't know if you 've tried these particular things before, but they work for me, and the mask is good for blackheads.

It 's not stupid, you just went to a bad dermatologist. clindamycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat many things including acne, so it is an acne treatment. you should have probably got a topical retinoid though as well.
