I had really bad acne it was really bad and its not as bad just a few here and there that i think are a lil bit caused by electric razor but heres what i did first off i started with the proactive solution and it works pretty good and makes ur face nice and shiney but not oiley but it only got soo much better and still was there so i wasnt bout to pay 40-55 a mth on it now if u have insurance u can go to a dermatologist which they proscribed me with some pills minocyclin something like that and some evacline i think that was a wash also the best thing was this cream that was a once a day thing that was peroxcide based whch was called benzacline also ive heard that what u eat effects it too then i was told it really dont matter i came to find out when i stoped eating sweets and just reg food not chocolate or sweets i wasnt breaking out and then i started eating chocolate and it started breaking out again and that pointed me to that and the biggest thing that worked for me was was a facial scrub st. ives aprocote which will scrub away dead skin and help treat acne and then what i did after that in the morning was put on a thin layer of lotion which that helped alot and made skin smooth as well thats a few things that hass helped me lots let me know if they work

One of the most common ways of treating acne is the use of retinoids. Retinoids are substances derived from Vitamin A, which attempt to cure acne by normalizing the lifecycle of follicle cells. There are two types of such substances, based on application: external (topical) and oral. The best known external retinoids are Retin-A, Differin and Tazorac, while the oral retinoids list is headed by the popular Accutane. However, about one quarter of the patients who used Accutane or other drugs based on isotretinoin may relapse and require additional treatment. But the biggest drawback of retinoids is the long list of side effects, which sometimes makes retinoids look like a disease rather than a cure. The most common side effects are dry skin and nosebleeds. Many patients have also reported liver problems, while a few complained of depression. However, the scientific community is still split on the issue of depression. More seriously, isotretinoin is known to cause birth defects, which is why female patients have to use two separate forms of birth control or vow abstinence during the treatment. Pregnant women are not allowed to use anything but the mildest treatments. The bottom line is that retinoids are a good idea if one can cope with the side effects. This begs the question: why not use something just as effective, but without the side effects. Acne treatment systems, such as ClearPores: clearpores.com/ clicks/ clickthrough.html?a= 150901 are also popular because of their success in dealing with the condition, but lack the extreme side that makes retinoids a pain to use. The choice between these treatments is yours.

Ask your dermatologist about oral medication. I have those kinds of acne before (the cystic ones), i break out almost every week. my dermatologist got me on Accutane and it 's all under control now. as with every drug, there 's a long list of side effect for that drug, but, the one i 'm only experiencing is really dry skin and lips. at least i 'm not oily anymore, right?! less oil means no more breakouts. the dermatologist usually keeps track on you, like, me, i have to visit her for my monthly visits. there 's nothing to worry about. my sister is making fun of my clear skin now. she said i always used to talk on how much i break out or how i always look at the mirror. but now, i don 't do those things anymore

There are three causes of acne. Imbalance hormones, toxic colon(including diet issues), and a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic acne). To balance hormones you might want to add essential fatty acids also known as EFAs. To treat a toxic colon you will need to an internal cleansing. I have tried diffrent ones and the best one i found was "The Colon Cleansing Kit " from blessedherbs.com. To treat a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic), you will have to do a Parasite cleanse, and then you might want to do a liver cleansing. Also foods you will need to avoid :Wheat, monosodium glutamate(MSG),Aspartame, Dairy products( milk, skim milk, whey protein, ice cream, cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt, whipped cream, cheese, ice cream etc. oh and butter is ok). Avoid sugar(brown sugar, maple syrup, high fructose corn syrup, etc.). Avoid potatoes(not including sweet potatoes or yams). Avoid refined carbohydrated(white flour, cookies, cakes, pizza, crackers, chips, pancakes, grits, spaghetti, noodles, enriched flour, white rice, white bread, macaroni, candy, etc. Avoid shellfish(shrimp, oysters, crab, lobster, etc. Avoid soda, fruit juice(high in concentreated sugars),dried fruits(figs, raisins, dates),fried foods and deep fried foods, roasted nuts, preservatives, alcohol(one you drink), and last but not least hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils. It has been said that food had nothing to do with acne. Remember that acne product companies dont want you to cure your acne but control it with drugs to make MONEY.
