Would perfume work to cure acne?

Question: Would perfume work to cure acne?

(Posted by: MAgheewala on 2009-07-03 04:49:00)

I was just wondering how that would work out, since perfume contains alcohol, it would keep my skin dry, right? It wouldn't clog my pores or anything, would it?

I wouldn 't recommend it, as perfume has other additives too. Toothpaste is supposed to be very good. You could try consulting your doctor xxx Hope I helped xxx :)

Sorry, this wont be a cure, to be honest there isn 't any cure. good personal Hygiene helps but since your hormones are 'all over the place ' the best practise is a good skin wash, and light exfoliation. If you have severe acne the Doctor can prescribe the contraceptive pill to stabilise the hormones, but you will need to see a GP

I used to have terrible acne as a teenager. No I don 't believe perfume will help at all, in fact it might make it worse. You need something that will regulate your hormones! Some people recommend birth control pills. I personally would try Womens One a Day Vitamins, it 's possible you may not have all the vitamins you need "that is if you are a girl " lol i 'm assuming so. I highly recommend to go see your doctor, and ask about options that will help balance out your hormones, it 's the best thing to do, trust me, they have a wealth of knowledge. I asked one of my best friends how she had clear skin all her life, she told me that she 's been on birth control since she was 13. But Ask your doctor what your best choice would be, use this advice as a reference :) Good Luck

Bad idea! It 'll hurt you more than it will cure you. Toothpaste doesn 't work either. I 'd suggest rubbing on Alcohol on it like Gin or Vodka. It helped me. Hope i helped xx

No. Use products made and tested for acne. Things like this aren 't good ideas (like toothpaste that is the worst advice). Use a three step regime for best results. Fight back hard in the AM and PM fragrance is added to perfume and may really be bad around your nose.
