Question: What do i do when i have both acne and dry skin?

Those are skin conditions that contradict, yet i have both. However, my acne is mild.

When your skin is dry, it responds by producing more oil, which in turn gives you more acne. Keep your skin moisturized and use a non-soap cleanser (and if it has salicylic acid or some other anti-acne ingredient, only use it once a day; more than that can dry your skin out even more).

Maybe you are over cleansing your skin with harsh cleansers, when you do this it dries out your skin and makes your sebaceous glands over act to produce more oil. If you are breaking open white heads and or black heads then the bacteria contained within them is spreading onto the surface of your skin and spreading the acne. Use a professional product such as Bio Elements decongestant cleanser and also use a moisturizer and you will see a difference. Do not use products with alcohol content in them they will produce the condition your are experiencing. Good luck to you and research your products that you are purchasing.
