Is it okay to put Milk of Magnesium on cystic acne?
I know its a weird thing to put on your face but my friend said she puts it on before she dances at competitions and it keeps her make up perfect and that lots of girls she knows use it for their acne too. I have a really big, painful cyst on my chin. Like way under the surface, no head. Can I put milk of magnesium right on it? Will it help?

i get these deep painful pimples on my chin are i think its cystic acne im really frustrated and when i break out with them like every other week i don 't even like leaving the house i still see my pediatrician so i went there and i tried proactive and basically everything you can buy in the store i also tried tretinoin which made my skin worse i took doxycycline and now i use birth control pills i topically use benzoyl peroxide 2.5 percent face wash and clindamycin im 16 is there anything i can try or do or ask to get from the doctor to make these stop and go away..? please help!also i have no insurance so i dont wanna pay for a dermatologist that wont do anything for me

hi, so i think i have cystic acne or rosacea or whatever kind of acne. i have lots of breakouts, and have used everyy product out there. from proactive to clearsil or neutrogena and every prescribtion brand. many doctors dont understand the severity of my acne and just shoo me away i recently went to the derm and they just gave me antibiotics and a prescription that i already had been prescribed. now i just saw the ad on yahoo about max clarity. i think maybe i have cystic acne cause they neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr seem to go away. anyone have any advice for cystic or have been on max clarity and please dont tell me you had a little acne to begin with cause mines is pretty bad, thank you guys in advance.

I 've has this horrible acne only on my nose 4 so many years now. I 've tried a couple of prescriptions but none has helped to clear it up. I 've read reviews about the Zeno product but I do not want to spend $50 on something that won 't work. How do you get rid of cystic acne under the skin?
When I turned 13 and my oil production went on high, I started to produce cystic acne on my shoulders and chest. The thing is, the acne was hard to classify. My back and chest started to develop different types of bumps, some that were skin colored, others that were pink. It 's just a mess because I can 't classify what is what. I went on accutane and my bumps started to lower, but after five months they still aren 't completely gone. Just about a week ago I started to apply benzoyl peroxide three times a day, and on my face I started to notice that the small skin-like bumps went away quickly. I 'm wondering if there 's a way to get rid of the skin colored bumps on my shoulders and chest?

About 6 months ago I started to get what I thought was a cystic acne (just one) on the side of my chin. In about 3 weeks it was about the size of a dime. It was somewhat soft in the center but it never came to head. I used stievamycin on it religiously and about a month later it reduced about 90% in size but now it 's a hard small bump which I can feel more than see. The weird thing is, it gets super itchy sometimes. It 's been 6 months since it first appeared. It 's still here and on random days it 's very itchy. I 'm always having to scratch around. I still use Stievamycin on it every night. Could it be something else? Does cystic acne leave bumps behind?
How to get rid of low mild cystic acne?
my acne is not supperr bad but its still bad, especially on my right cheek...is there a way where it can go away in the next 2-3 weeks? thanks guys!ps. my routine is: i wash my face with OXY face wash, then Clean & Clear moisturizer, then the OXY pads, then the OXY treatment; the one with salicylic acid in it. then usually if i go out somewhere i get very self-conscious and so i put foundation(Dream Matte Mousse Foundation). then some blush..i know i shouldnt but i dont want to show off my acne :(. but then i wash it off when i come home and do the whole routine again.pss. i tried proactiv, didn 't workwell i dont know for sure if it 's cystic acne because it doesn 't hurt but it kind of does look like cystic acne because it 's red and ugly.

Quick fix for cystic acne / deep pimple before my graduation pictures?
I 'm graduating from college in a few days and I have graduation pictures coming up in 4 days. I woke up today with a deep pimple / cystic acne pimple on my cheek. It is about 1/ 2 inch in diameter and red. It 's real deep, so there is no popping this thing. It 's just a hard, raised area. What can I do to at least reduce it in size and color before my pictures? I took an ibuprofen to help with swelling already.Please don 't suggest going to a dermatologist, because I don 't have money or enough insurance coverage for that.
Suffering from hormonal cystic acne. Someone please give me some advice as to what to do for treatment?
Almost a year ago, I found out I was pregnant. Everything was fine for the first few months. I didn 't have the morning sickness or the nausea nor did I have the chronic fatigue either. More or less, I just felt like myself without a period. However, when I entered my fourth month I started breaking out with white and blackheads and had tiny little pimples all over my face. In the beginning, I thought it was a rash and reported it to my OBGYN. She prescribed some diphenhydramine (Benadryl) because she thought I was having an allergic reaction to something. By the time I reached my 6th month, I started developing huge, painful bumps all over the sides of my face and underneath my chin. It would hurt so bad that I felt like I had amazon bullet ants crawling and stinging every inch of my face. In December, I got a referral from my OBGYN to go to see a dermatologist. She prescribed me some ampicillin two tablets twice a day and some erthryomycin. I have been using both concurrently since and have been supplementing it with Proactiv Solutions and nothing is working and I still have the sickeningly painful ugly bumps in which are ginormous on the sides of my face, all over my shoulders and my back,and I even get them in my fucking ears. I have never ever ever ever had this problem before I got pregnant. I had my baby six weeks ago and was told by my doctors that it would go away but it hasn 't. It has improved slightly but not dramatically and it seems like when it does improve a little bit I 'll get another few bumps or more somewhere else. Not to mention, my face itches like a motherfucker. I am totally disgusted with this problem and have invested a lot of money into fixing it. I even had the discharging doctors at the hospital prescribe me YAZ to help with the acne but I am breastfeeding and have heard that it decreases milk supply. I looked into Mirena and read that it can potentially make acne worse. I know that the depo shot will make it worse. I don 't know what to do. PLEASE HELP ME! I HAVE NEVER FELT THIS FUCKING UGLY IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I CAN RECALL A YEAR AGO WHEN I LOOKED LIKE ANGELINA JOLIE WITHOUT THE BOBO LIPS AND WITH BLONDE HAIR. NOW I JUST FEEL LIKE PUTTING A BAG OVER MY HEAD NOT TO MENTION THAT MY FACE IS EXPRESSIONLESS BECAUSE OF THE PAIN! HELP!!!!
Treating adult cystic acne?
I am 25 years old and have always had a bit of an acne problem but since having my daughter (7 months ago) I have had cystic acne that I cannot clear up. I have seen a dermatologist but nothing is helping. I used to take Minocin as a teen and it worked great but for this it is doing nothing. I am also on birth control used for acne treatment (Diane 35) and 2 creams...Differin and benzoclin. Still...nothing. I don 't seem to get any new acne with it but I have had the same cysts for the last 7 months. I do not want to try Accutane...I will not go there as I have heard the worst of the worst. I 'd rather have then acne then take that. If you know of anything else that might help please let me know. Thanks so much.

Last week, my cheeks were getting so much better. They were almost fully clear on my cheeks. I was really happy and thought my new regimen for my skin was working. Couple days ago, I started breaking out again in the cheeks. I have cystic acne on my cheeks again! Ugh! I stopped wearing makeup. I 'm not sure if that will make a difference. i 've had acne for a few years. i 'm 16 and started the birth control a few months ago in hopes of stopping my acne. before the b.c, it was never cystic and now it 's cystic. i 'm in tears almost every night because i 'm so frustrated with my face and this incessant struggle with acne. i 'm using paula 's choice, an acne product system that works, but i 'm developing cysts ever since i tried birth control. i 've tried everything like proactiv and pills and creams but nothing works. accutane is my last resort. will it work? how long will it take? *acne is only on the side of my forehead + jawline/ cheeks. not chin/ nose/ center forehead. these cysts are painful too! a lot of my forehead/ cheeks are scars, but theres 2 main groups of the bumps/ cysts that are pissing me off*
What works for cystic acne now that we can't get accutane?
accutane is the only thing that worked for me. My face was clear for a whole year ( 2 years ago). I still get cystic acne, and I am 39 years old. I live in hot, sweaty Texas which doesnt help. They 're all on my chin.

I 've had severe pimples and white heads the last year and a half. They all vanished, but now I get cystic acne! I 've been to the dermatologist many times for shots, medication, and consultation. He strongly recommended accutane, but my family doesn 't have insurance. I 've had laser treatment done along with high dosage shots in korea, this helped my cysts a lot. But the korean derm. also said it was odd that my skin isn 't perfectly clear (apparently it was suppose to be after all the treatment). The medication he gave me made me sweat so much, like sweat even when I;m not hot. This made school life impossible, so I quit that after 2 &half month of using. Through the last three months of laser/ shots/ medicine, my cysts went down a lot.Now they 're coming back up and are getting redder! I read on the internet that cysts are suppose to hurt on touch, but mine has no feeling. They just feel like a bump on my skin that occasionally gets itchy. I don 't scratch or pick at it, but they just won 't go away. They 're all in my side jaw areas, a few black spots have already formed. When I got a cyst next to my eye, it cleared up in a few weeks. But the ones next to my jaws seem like they 're been there for over a year. Is there any meds that help clear up cystic acne?! It started 2 years ago when i was 16. It doesn 't really run in my family, only my aunt suffered from some big pimples, but not as bad as my cystic acne. I tried everything from minocycline, doxy, tazorac, duac, BP, and now my doctor wants me to go on accutane. It did get better but then came back. I dont want to go on accutane b/ c its not natural. I dont want something disturbing my body b/ c then my body my start to depend on it later on. Right now i 'm using a product from UIta and its working really good. Do you think its just a hormone problem?Those last 2 yrs of high school were really stressful for me. I am leaving for the Marine Corps this July and I won 't be accepted because the lame doctors at MEPS said I have to clear up my cystic acne on my upper back or else I won 't be shipped to Parris Island, because of the whole, I will be carrying lots of gear and rubbing my back and it might get infected. I 've been suffering from acne for 4 years. Last year i wasn 't much knowledgeable about acne or their meds.My doc never told me to go in the sun with benzyl peroxide so I did. I broke out with huge cysts. It was painful. My whole face was filled with acne and deep acne scars. End of last year it started to get better. But now it 's worse. I took everything from Minocycline, Benzaclin, Differin, Proactive, Doxycline, Tazorac, Duac, sulfur washes, natural herbs, etc. I dont want to take Accutane b/ c its very strong there 's no guarantee it will stop my acne forever b/ c its mostly about my hormones. Whenever I 'm about to get my period i breakout with huge cysts. So i don 't know how accutane will help my hormones only my oil glands. All dermatologists i 've been to have not been helpful at all. Lately my hormones have been acting funny. My whole life since i was 12 my period came exactly on time, i had no problems. A month before i turned 18 my hormones started to act up. I missed my period, then it started coming late etc. I don 't know what 's happening inside my body. I have tried everything and my face looks diseased or something. I get stares, i don 't look myself in the mirror, it hurts to touch my face. My family/ friends all make fun of me. Every time i do look in the mirror i end up crying a lot. I 've given up, it seems like i have to live with it, i don 't think there is a cure my kind of acne. I don 't know what to do anymore.

Home help for adult cystic acne?
Hi. I have one huge zit on my chin almost all the time. They hurt awful, so I do a home operation on it, and then after healing just comes back on another part of my chin. I am 30-something and just started getting these in my late 20 's. I currently have no insurance so I am using my mom 's rosacea/ eczema topical. If I don 't use the topical my whole chin starts to pit. I have tried dozens of over the counter blemish stuff plus proactive. My skin is so extremely sensitive and the zits just keep coming back. I am running out of ideas. Thanks.
