Can anyone who's experienced severe cystic acne help me out here?

Question: Can anyone who's experienced severe cystic acne help me out here?

About a month ago, after developing a huge cyst on my cheek (I'm not kidding when I say huge. It's literally bigger than a quarter.) I went to see my dermatologist for the first time. I got a few prescriptions and have been using them as directed, but there's next to no sign of this cyst going down. I'm not big on shots, hence why I turned it down originally, but now I see I have just about no choice. So, I've got an appointment for this in a few days, and I'm wondering if anyone who's had this shot can tell me their personal experience with it? Is it true the area will become depressed and sunken afterwards? Can the area be numbed so the shot itself is less painful? Thanks. :)

Well, I have an Idea, it might help, but it 's not risky, so you might as well try it. Ok, so, if you can find a bandage big enough to cover it that ur not allergic to, I think I can help. Ok, get some honey, and spread a coat of honey over the cyst. Then, put a bandage on it, and sleep, with that. Then, wake up, and take off the and aid. Wash the honey off, and you just might possibly see results.
