Taking amoxicillin to treat acne?
Hi, I 've been taking amoxicillin for almost 2 years. The dose is 250mg twice a day. So 500mg total a day. Is it bad for me to being taking amoxicillin to treat my acne? I have medium acne, and this was prescribed to me by a dermatologist. My general doctor wants me to stop taking it. My dermatologist wants me to take it. What should I do? I know it won 't kill me, unless im allergic but are there any severe side effects for taking it long term? I 'm wondering if it makes me forgetful?
Is this combination for treating acne harmful to my skin?
I use Olay oil-free foaming face wash morning and night. I follow it up with Clean and Clear deep cleaning 2% salicylic acid astringent, also morning and night, and just before going to bed I use Clearasil 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment.I have only been using this for two days and have already seen a slight reduction in acne but I was worried that the combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide may be causing harm to my skin. Is it true? And if it is, can you please recommend me some other combination or treatment I can use. My acne has been really bad lately, and I really want it gone = /

i recently found out htat you can use garlic to treat acne. i heard that you should crush 2 cloves and use the juice to put on your face. after 5 minutes wash it off. but what i wanted to know is two things. how many times a day should i do this, and how long will it take me to notice a difference?

Well I have acne but it is clearing up better now that I use a system that works. It looks like I have more zits and pimples and acne worse than I actually do because I have picked at it in the past when I didn 't know I shouldn 't. What is a product that I can get at WALGREENS for treating acne scars when I still have acne?????? Oh and I don 't really want something that treats acne, I just want something for scars. Can I treat acne w/ both benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid at the same time?
When I bought this three-step acne treatment similar to Proactiv, they included this sort of salicylic acid gel thing as a "bonus. " My question is when I 'm supposed to put this on. Would I apply it with the benzoyl peroxide cleanser and lotion? I might be mistaken but I kept hearing things about how salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide cancel each other out and fails to clear acne as a result. So yeah, I 'm not too sure.

okay so heres my story:ive been fighting acne for years, like many people out there. i finally got my mom to take me to the dermatologist. she gave me solodyn and differin 0.3. i tried them for about 3 weeks and it just got worse, and i knew you were supposed to get an initial breakout from differin but this was really bad. plus, my face was this horrible shade of red like it was irritated, so i went back to the derm and she told me to switch to differin as a spot treatment, so i did. my face somehow still got all red and flaky and gross.today, i had a mental breakdown. im not using differin anymore, i hate looking in the morror and seeing my face be 35 different colors. now, my face is sensitive to every moisturizer that it wasnt sensitive to before. i need something to work, so i went on google. i saw alot of stuff about egg white masks and how they can clear acne and scars very fast (i have ALOT of scars too from the differin, even thouh i didnt pop anything).
