Honestly, I 've found that just washing your face is a good idea. I 'm not being sarcastic either. I used to get acne all the time and I wondered why, because I washed my face( but not deep enough). So, when I got pimples, I would clean them out, wash my face with hot water and then lay a cold/ wet wash cloth across my face to close my pores back up. Pimples are bacteria in your skin, the best way to get rid of them for good is to clean them out( i.e. pop them.) clean them and close them. Using various soaps and what not can just cause more pimples, since it gets down in your skin and you skin closes up over it. (Hint: When cleaning out a pimple, make sure you get all the gunk out of there. I know it hurts and I know this may sound crazy, but I usually pop mine until the first tiny drop of blood comes out with it.I don 't have any acne scars, because I moisturize my face with a clean, pore friendly lotion.) |

If you are at your wits end with acne (it is everywhere, it is painful, it is inflamed and red, you never get a break from it) you can go to your doctor and tell them, they will prescribe something for you. (I got my prescription from my doctor) and they will just ask you a few questions about your skin, to figure out what will work best for you. I got prescribed Differin. It is an acne cream that you apply daily. My doctor mentioned that it would take a while to start working, and I thought it would take a few weeks. The medication was prescribed to me 6 months ago and I am finally seeing the results I really want (clear beautiful skin) But, ANY acne medication (prescribed by a doctor) will take that long to fix, it will not just be in 1 week everything is gone. What Differin did do for me immeadiatley was: 1. Get rid of the painful inflamed acne I would get on my face 2. Make my acne go away faster(my worst pimples were gone in three days or less) Going to a doctor was a great choice because this is something I can put trust in, it is backed with real research and it 's not just something anyone can buy. (it has WAY different things in it then your over the counter treatments) The only downside was that once (about 3 months into using it) I got an INSANE break out on one side of my face. I had never had anything like that in my life and it was there for about 2 weeks. But now, I 've got very clear skin (knock on wood) and if I do breakout I know it 's because I haven 't washed my face or I used too much makeup or something like that. It can also dry out your face after a while (if you 're applying it too often) so you have to use a good moisturizer. (I use Aloe Vera Gel, which is usually for sunburn, but it works just as well for me) And as for body breakouts (I get them on my back and chest) I haven 't noticed that it helps a whole lot, but it may be because I dont use it as often as I do on my face. My prescription costs 30$ everytime I get a refill (my insurance covers whatever else there is) and I only need a refill once every 2.5 months (i use it everyday usually) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you don 't feel like you 're ready for that path then I would try Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. It has some heavy doses of Benzoyl Peroxide (great acne fighter) and Clearasils Pimple Blocker Pen works astonishingly well. I also think Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment works just as well. (both the pimple pen and advantage spot treatment have the same ingredients, i dont see a difference) All of these are found at any drug store. And yes, those are the exact names of the products --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and you may not believe me but watch what you eat! drink more water then usual, you will see what a large difference it makes in your skins clearness |

You can try this and see if it helps. Dip a cotton ball in egg whites and apply on clean face, wait a few hours and wash regularly to minimise acne. Check out usefulinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for all information regarding acne and how to get rid of them. |
